ENG: The brief was to write a 2000-word essay on the chosen topic and design it afterwards. The topic I chose was “What's the future of graphic design?” Writing it was a bit of a struggle, as it's a difficult topic to write about because there isn't any solid evidence on what the future will be; it's just predictions.
For my essay design, the initial idea was to go with very futuristic aesthetics with a modern twist by possibly using AI-generated imagery and assets. The initial colour palette was very neon and mostly purple with futuristic-looking typefaces, however, I ended up changing it completely as I didn't like any of the typefaces, and to me, the typefaces set the tone of the overall design.
My final design ended up very minimalistic and clean, with no imagery either. The idea behind it is to leave it as blank as possible, after all future is a different thing for everyone, and it's up to interpretation. The future can be hectic, and I wanted my design to be peaceful to look at.
